About the festival
Jamaica Pork Rum Soca Festival
This is an impossibly appetizing culinary event: a Pork, Rum and Soca Festival.
Our second Pork Rum & Soca Festival will be 11th – 12th October 2024, with culinary experiences, music, arts and a focus on two of the island’s most famous specialties: Pork and Rum.
Jamaica is renowned for its local pork, one that has drawn crustacean connoisseurs from around the world; it’s also famous for its Rum and liqueurs, both of which will be front and center at the gastronomic event.
The festival will include everything from rum tastings to a rum hunt to an array of Pork dishes.
Jamaica a short flight from nearby North America, is a vibrant blend of natural beauty, spectacular views, charming mountains and a dynamic culture.

Pork, Rum & Soca together evoke a vibrant Caribbean atmosphere, perfect for this festival of a lively cultural celebration!
We are inviting everyone to be part of this cultural event, the organisers said, “Roast pork, pull pork peppered pork, jerk pork, suckling pig, wild hog, all kinds all pork.
This is going to be a pork lover’s paradise! Join us on Saturday, October 11-12, for the 2024 Jamaica Pork+ +Rum+Soca Festival, featuring, you guessed it, LOTS OF PORK! RUM! SOCA!”
“Jamaica has been known to boast undoubtedly the best pork in the world.”
Exclusive Rum Variety
Jamaica is literally the spiritual home of one of, if not the best Overproof Rum in the world. It’s impossible to talk about Rum without mentioning J. Wray & Nephew Overproof Rum.
Many rum distillers have envied for the secrets of this Jamaican Rum. To create an immensely flavorful “arome” we’ve had several hundred years to practice and develop our technique.
The incredible thing about this bottle is – all the flavoring was created in the fermentation and distillation. There has been NO conditioning of the distillate at all. No added flavors, no barrel aging, NOTHING… and it is one of the most flavorful rums you will ever taste.
The quality of the distillate is what many would consider the holy grail of rum – ultra flavorful and complex, with an uncompromising pungency and brooding raw power. The complex acidity and sheer variety of flavor is enough to drive you crazy… That unforgettable fruity aroma even lingers in the glass after it has been drunk.
Wray & Nephew Overproof Rum fruity esters and firepower add a distinctive funk to anything edible, be it be cocktails, cakes, ice creams etc. It combines brilliantly with any fruit juice.
Wray & Nephew Overproof Rum is a key ingredient in many Tiki-style cocktails, including Mai Tais and the infamous Zombie, and Wray & Nephew is easily the most flavorful and complex of the strong White Rums.
